The Everglades

Yesterday on March first I went to the everglades with Lynette and Dave on their boat the bipolar. Glenn also came along for the ride. We met them at their house and then headed to flamingo point to launch the boat. The hotel is no longer open as it was damaged by hurricane wilma and never repaired. It is going to be torn down. It took a little effort but we finally got the boat off the trailer and headed out into the golf stream. Almost immediately we saw three dolphins. We went a little ways out and tried are luck at fishing. Dave caught a silver trout that was too small to keep so he threw him back. We then headed up the coast where we stopped on a beach to walk around. After that we head up the coast where we saw five more dolphins playing around. One actually jumped out of the water. Some of them where slapping their tails on the water. We didn't get any good pictures though. They were too quick for us. We the headed into the everglades at shark river to work our way back to flamingo. Along the way we stopped at a chickee to hang out for a little while. We saw lots of birds but not much out wild life. We stopped a couple of time to fish but we didn't have much luck. At the last stopped Dave caught a red fish that was also too small so he threw him back. After that we headed home.
